Twenty-four hours after Blogging about Dr. Katie McCoy Zooming in with us at Stonebridge Baptist Church, I am happy to announce that Dr. McCoy will be with us in PERSON, on Wednesday, May 22 for REFUEL AND RECHARGE!
Dr. McCoy graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a PhD in Systematic Theology, and served as a professor there for five years. She is now the Women's Ministry Lead for our state convention. She is also the author of the best-selling book, 'To Be a Woman,' which addresses the gender dysphoria issus that is so prevalent in our culture.
Her book is exceptionally well researched and covers the root causes of this current cultural moment, why females are suffering from this confusion at a much higher degree than males, particularly in the junior high -college age years. She cites numerous studies as to the outcome of harmful hormone 'therapies' and gender reassignment procedures, and of course gives a Biblical, theological understanding of gender. She concludes with a Christian response to this current cultural time of crisis.
